u know something, “no one can take ur education away from u” is really only applicable to people that were educated in n. america and w. europe (in other words, what are considered white locales)
i literally can’t count how many people i’ve met from other countries with excellent eduational backgrounds and degrees… degrees that are literally worthless in this country.
my coworker may have all the knowledge that completing her MBA required her to have, but since she got that degree in delhi she has to take a shitty job at rexall and save up for courses at bcit.
i’ve literally received cab rides from doctors and engineers. people with more education and training and knowledge than myself and all 3 of my parents combined.
